Event Proceeds

Artumnal Gathering proceeds directly support Art and Civic Engagement programs that nurture a global spectrum of projects and partnerships inspired by the art and community of Black Rock City and beyond.

Arts and Civic Engagement begins with Black Rock City and achieves global impact through a range of national and international efforts grounded in the ethos and history of Burning Man. We learn from the playa and from our community, generating programs to serve and amplify the possibilities and realities that are born from them both.

Burning Man’s art programs not only support artists and their art but also seeks to serve by exposing people to outstanding artwork that solicits involvement in a way that connects individuals to one another and their community.

Our art activities extend from the following programs: Black Rock City Arts, Civic Arts, and Global Art Grants. Burners Without Borders, the remaining program of the ACE department, is a grass-roots, volunteer-driven community leadership program that inspires people to enact change in their own communities. Using the principles of Burning Man, BWB has been instrumental in building community resilience and providing disaster and cultural relief to many communities in need.

Thank you in advance for your support of this important work.

For more information about these programs visit our 2017 annual report and the Burning Man online journal.
